This fragile piece is a great example of faden quartz with a very visible faden line and a few large crystals connecting to form a very aesthetic piece from all angles.
Faden quartz is characterized by the “faden line” running through the crystals. The faden line can be in a single crystal, generally with a flattened or elongated form. This variety of quartz gets its name from the German word for string, “faden”, and is accordingly pronounced “fah-den”.
